ICA Tasting Experience: Catered Affair
We don’t have traditional corporate structures at Brightside. Most days it’s shoots and editing and the constant work of figuring out how to tell a story with a camera. The closest thing we have to a consistent team are the vendors we work beside again and again. There’s a special kind of bond that forms when you’re calmly solving tiny disasters together in formal wear.
The team at Catered Affair is truly something special. Some of the most thoughtful, detail-oriented, and genuinely kind people we know are part of that group. Reconnecting with familiar faces at their VIP client event, some we’ve known since the very beginning of this studio, reminded us why we love this work. Not because of the plating or the lighting or the perfectly orchestrated timing of each course. Because of the people behind it.
One of the best things about photographing the same collaborators over years is witnessing what they build together. The invisible coordination. The calm problem-solving. The way they move through a room like they’ve been doing this their whole lives because, in a lot of ways, they have. These moments reveal what a team actually is, not just what they serve.
