I’ve spent enough time in rooms full of accomplished people to know the difference between the ones where people show up and the ones where people actually mean it. The Pinnacle Awards felt like the latter.
Over 1,100 people gathered on January 27th at the Omni Seaport to celebrate nine women who are genuinely changing Boston. Nia Grace. Dr. Aisha Francis. Kate Walsh. Lauren Baker. These weren’t names in a program. They were people being recognized for real work. Founded companies. Built institutions. Shifted policy.
One of the best things about photographing events is the access it gives you to the moments in between. The second before a woman steps on stage. The reaction from her team. The quiet pride on her face knowing the work actually gets seen.
