The Old Colony ribbon cutting brought neighbors and families together to witness the opening of something that had been years in the making. The official remarks happened, the ribbon fell, but the actual story was happening all around it. Kids running through the new outdoor space. Families pointing out their future apartments. One of the best things about photographing community events is witnessing what happens when people understand they’re part of building something together. Not just watching. Participating. The moment a child realizes their family is moving somewhere new. The conversation between two neighbors who’ve watched this space transform.
